Bunker & Bonfire at IBSP 8/18/2024

Our annual “Bunker & Bonfire” trip is open to all club members and their family each summer.
This event was started in 2012 and is held at IBSP were the club uses our Weber kettle grills to prepare hot dogs and various sausages (feel free to bring your own additional items to throw on the hot grills). We also have littleneck clams all ready to be tossed on the grill. As well as various salads, snacks, drinks and all the vital ingredients for smores.
In addition we bring wood for the bonfire and fresh bunker & various baits so members can fish the late summer surf for stripers, bluefish and any other species that prowl the surf. If you’re interested in fishing please bring a large bait pole, a spike, 3-4oz weights and a bait rigs.
We meet on the beach in IBSP at A21. For those with a buggy pass drive on up and for those attending who do not have a pass you can park in the lot adjacent to the A21 and follow the path to the beach. Bathrooms are available in the A21 parking lot.
This event has grown into one of our largest attended events and is a wonderful night on the beach for the whole family.
